The producers of Padron little cigars know that making a great cigar takes time and experience. It takes at least 4 years from the planting of the seeds to the finished cigar. They only supply the finest handcrafted, intricately composed cigars with the flavor of the Cuban heritage that gave rise to the recipe.

To find the best cigars you have to try a few. So it is a good idea to only buy two or three packs of Padron little cigars at first. At the beginning it may be that you are not sure and only develop a preference after the second or third cigar.

The most important criteria in the selection are tobacco quality, structure of the cigar and freshness. One should examine the cigar carefully. To do this, hold the cigar between your thumb and forefinger. It should be smooth, consistent, with no lumps when rolled back and forth between your fingers.

The taste of the cigar is directly related to its structure. If it rolls poorly, the pull may not be even when you pull. You have to look closely at the cigars in the box and check for cracks or changes in color. If the cigars feel too hard, then they were packed too tightly. Ideally, they should feel soft.
